FOR MORE THAN 35 YEARS GABADI HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH EXPERIENCE AND PERFECTION IN THE FITTING OUT OF SPACES.

Our History

Gabadi was founded in 1989 and dedicated itself for some time to civil construction, starting its first works in the naval area in the year XXXXXXXX. One project led to another, to eventually make a name for itself among the Spanish shipyards who have since found in us a partner of unequalled value to whom to delegate more and more projects of various sizes: military and civilian vessels from all over the world, scaffolding works, etc. In the year XXXX the internationalization of the company arises, and it is with a project in XXXXX when we started our activity in foreign shipyards.

Since then, our company has not stopped growing, entering in the year XXXX in the LNG tank repair sector, and today, with more than 250 employees in more than 9 countries, we are part of a project financed by the European Union, together with 14 other partners, in which the storage and transport of liquid hydrogen, the energy of the future, is being investigated. VISIONARIES

Since our beginning in 1989, in the midst of the era of naval reconversion in Spain, we have traveled an exciting path full of challenges and achievements. We were born as a carpentry company, with a specialized focus on the manufacture of kitchen furniture. However, it was in 1992 when we decided to take a bold step towards diversification and enter the exciting world of the Naval Sector.

This change of direction coincided with the rise in the birth of companies under the umbrella of the new Synthesis Shipyards strategy. In this context, four visionary friends, García, Barreiro, and Díaz, came together to form GA BA DI, a company that would become synonymous with quality, innovation and commitment in the sector.

At the Gabadi Group, we are proud of our history of humility and dedication and we are excited for the future that awaits us.

We remain committed to excellence in everything we do, constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and expand in the exciting world of the Naval Sector.

First company in the sector

in its region in achieving the ISO 9000 quality standard.

2007

Security management system

and occupational health and safety certified according to OHSAS 18001 (now ISO 45001) and environmental management system according to ISO 14001.

2014

First non-shipyard company to obtain the TALA and TSA

to be able to repair and build world-class non-shipping membrane tanks.

2015

International expansion begins

with offices in China, Singapore and Canada. Today we count with projects in more than 7 countries.

2017

Acuerdo de transferencia de tecnología para la reparación y construcción de tanques de membrana en todo el mundo

Este logro nos catapultó al liderazgo mundial en la reparación de tanques de LNG, consolidado durante los años 2022 y 2023 con casi el 80% de las reparaciones de LNG a nivel mundial.

2019

We surpassed the 50 million turnover barrier

Celebramos otro hito importante al alcanzar una facturación de 50 millones de euros, lo que nos posicionó entre las 100 empresas más destacadas de La Coruña. Enfrentamos el desafío de la pandemia de COVID-19, pero aún así logramos entregar tanques de 18 millones de metros cúbicos de LNG para 7 buques portacontenedores, demostrando nuestra capacidad de adaptación y resiliencia.
